Decaying Gracefully
She was full.
From life
from wind
from heat
from earth and sun.
The grass caressed and laced together the spaces in-between.
She released it all
From skin
From nails
From hair
From breath and thoughts
The spores opened and pushed upwards to the spaces around
She was empty
From organs
From bones
From muscles
From heart and head
The tubes and toadstools grew and ate the spaces up
She was filled
Filled with satisfaction
Filled with purpose
Filled with death that gave life
The grass and toadstools thanked her
