After the Show

We've dressed our best for you. We've smiled, spun, twirled, danced, flexed our muscles and displayed our skills for you. Through the crowds and the sweat, the heat and the smoke, we've put on the show that made you cheer, laugh, gasp, and yawn. Go to your homes and be satisfied. Leave us be, we creatures of the night. When you draw your shades and shut your doors, we come alive. Alive with our thoughts and our comfort and our calm. We share so much with you. You think us vulnerable because we expose so much. So much talent, so much skin. But we all have skin, it doesn't define us or make us unique. What we don’t share with you does. We do not share with you what makes us who we are. That is saved for after the show.
