Bearded Lady

She was born with it. Her career already in hand, or more accurately, on face. She didn't discover until those startling years of puberty that aren't there one day and are the next. With each stubbly prickle, her heart sank. Until she realized its magic and the freedom it brought. She didn't fight it for long, for she never cared to be forgotten in the crowd. By accepting fate and putting away the razor, she became someone. All the other girls made their mark on the world by what their body had to offer, why shouldn't she? Though, she would love for someone to admire her for something else, preferably something that lived inside her brain or her heart. But it was soft. She took great care of it and felt both handsome and beautiful.
